In her past lives, Rebecca Hazelwood has been a photojournalist, an English Assistant in a French middle school, and a long-term substitute teacher in a high school, among other things. She’s originally from Kentucky, but she’s lived in Missouri, France, Georgia, Chicago, and Louisiana. Now she lives in northern Alabama, where she is a lecturer at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Her interests include Unsolved Mysteries, true crime, creative nonfiction, poetry, memory, trauma narratives, yoga, and all things teeth-related. Her work has been published in Guernica, December, Anthropoid, Hobart, Still, and PANK. She is currently working on a memoir about a breakdown.
